Valetine's Day in Spokane

This Valentine's Day we travelled to Spokane, WA for a concert that Courtney was in. She had auditioned for the Washington All-State Youth Honor Chorus and was chosen. It was a fun, but long day, for everyone. We dropped Courtney off at a Spokane high school early in the morning and she spent all day rehearsing with about 150 kids, mostly girls. Adam, Chris, Zach, and I went to the mall, had lunch, and then met Courtney back at the Spokane Convention Center for her concert. The group sang seven songs and about three of them were in a different language. I am amazed at her for learning them so well. I don't think Courtney felt 100% that day but she made it through her performance. By the end of the night she could barely talk. On the trip home she did not feel well at all. While in Spokane we visited with my Aunt Marge, my cousin Kathy, and her grandson, Taylor. They met us at the convention center and then took us out for dinner afterwards. The kids had a great weekend.

Adam video taped Courtney during this song because she is right in front with an ensemble of other girls. Courtney said some of the kids were struggling with the words so they made a smaller group who could sing them. She coughed right at the beginning so you can't miss her. I think her throat was a little sore. Adam is jerking around because Zach keeps bumping him. Sorry about that.

Courtney is so talented. I clearly remember her dancing up front in the ward's talent show - during other talents. She was maybe 4 years old - so cute.
Miss you lots.
